Kolacky Cookies

 
3 cups sifted flour
200 gm butter
2 tsp baking powder
1/4 tsp salt
2 tbsp sugar
2 beaten eggs
250 gm cream cheese

Sift together the dry ingredients. Cream butter and cream cheese till it is fluffy.  Mix in eggs.  Gradually blend in the dry ingredients and stir to form a stiff dough.  Chill at least 2 hours.  Roll out the dough on a lightly floured board to 1/4-inch thickness and cut it with a medium-size biscuit cutter or glass.  Place the cookies on an ungreased cookie sheet.  Make a small indentation with your thumb in the center of each cookie.  Place a spoonful of filling in the center.

Bake at 375 F for 15 minutes.
